OnePlus has proved one thing that there is no reason why smartphones should cost so much. A brand new iPhone 6s starts at Rs. 49,000 and Samsung Galaxy S7 starts at Rs. 55,000. Both are amazing phones, but it is pretty much evident that the additional price you are paying is for the brand.
Well, don’t you feel that it’s better to pay considerably less for almost the same level of services rather than paying just the double?
The latest OnePlus 6 is the answer to the question. This smartphone is pretty much at par with every other top of the line smartphones. It is a more powerful and more capable phone than its earlier versions of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.

The main question arises here that Why One Plus Smartphones are so affordable ?
What is the bussiness model of One Plus?
Oneplus’s business model :-
1. Low made in China unit costs
2. Aggressive, invite based, just in time manufacturing
3. Minimised working capital, notably inventory dollars and inventory risk
4. Asset turns focused financial model
5. Direct sales and distribution
6. Higher margin accessory and app bundling
7. Viral marketing
One Plus 6 Three Months Reviews :-
OnePlus seems to have embraced this philosophy whole-heartedly. It was just in November last year that the OnePlus 5T (Review) was released with the sole purpose of having an 18:9 screen, because that had become the defining look for smartphones and the OnePlus 5 (Review) wasn’t going to cut it anymore.
There was practically nothing else new or different about that phone. Now, the OnePus 5T is already out of stock and has vanished from the company’s website.
Now the trending smartphone of one plus is One Plus 6
The Compnany brings One Plus 6 with just a cosmetic update or minor bump in specifications. It has a new processor, new type of screen, and new design, and a few other tweaks and improvements. Surprisingly, it doesn’t cost a lot more than the model it replaces.

9. OnePlus 6 Verdict :-
. OnePlus 6 Design :-
OnePlus has used Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and rear of all OnePlus 6 variantsIt’s also a little slippery, and very reflective, which means it will pick up smudges as soon as you touch it. The Marvel Avengers edition has the same shiny finish with a carbon fibre pattern.
This phone is comfortable to hold, thanks to the curved glass rear, but in addition to our Mirror Black unit being slippery, we found it hard to reach all corners of the newly enlarged screen. At 177g, it’s on the the heavier side too. The overall construction quality is excellent, and while OnePlus does use the term “water resistant”, there’s no official IPxx rating for protection from water or dust ingress.
. OnePlus 6 cameras :-
On the back is a dual-lens rear camera, this time centrally-and-vertically-mounted inside a slight camera bump.
The main f/1.7 aperture, 16-megapixel lens is joined by a second 20-megapixel camera, complete with a portrait mode. New bokeh effects have been added to the portrait mode, adding stars, hearts, and bubbles to the background.
Portrait mode has also been added to the selfie camera, although it’s purely software driven due to the single camera lens on the front of the OnePlus 6. The results are acceptable, but not outstanding. For example, it will often blur out the edge of spectacle frames if your head is at an angle.
. OnePlus 6 display :-
The OnePlus 6 display is one of the big new features on the phone. In fact, it’s the biggest display the firm has ever squeezed into a phone, with the 6.28-inch Full Optic AMOLED panel eclipsing the 6.1-inch offering found on the 5T.
With the reduction in bezel above and below the screen the OnePlus 6 also boasts a 84% screen-to-body ratio that will likely please fans of outright display real estate. However this has come at a price: the inclusion of a divisive ‘notch’ at the top of the screen.
“[The notch] works the best at the moment. Ultimately it’s not about the notch, it’s about the screen.”
. Oneplus 6 Battery :-
Battery life was good. It has 3300 mah Li-Polymer Battery and also a fast dash charging support.
One big annoyance is that there’s no way to see the battery level percentage in the status bar, most likely thanks to the notch, but you can swipe down to see it in the quick settings panel.
. Oneplus 6 Storage :-
The lowest, entry-level model OnePlus 6 comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. It should be plenty for most, but it gets better than that. This year you can also get either 128GB or 256GB storage, both with 8GB RAM, although there’s no microSD.
For the past couple of years, OnePlus has built app prioritisation features into its Oxygen OS platform, meaning it doesn’t waste its active memory on things that it doesn’t need to. Apps that you need to load quickly will do so.
. OnePlus 6 Hardware :-
The Snapdragon 845 processor. VR and AR apps aren’t mainstream yet, and heavy content creation tasks aren’t suited to smartphones anyway.
In our real-world experience, we found the OnePlus 6 to be extraordinarily snappy, and we never had to pause for apps to load. OnePlus fans will be happy to know that it automatically selected the High quality preset and also allowed us to turn on HDR and antialiasing without breaking a sweat.
With 8GB of RAM at our disposal, it shouldn’t be surprising that apps stayed ready to go even after lying unused for a full day. That said, most people would still be perfectly happy with what today’s phones at well under half this price are capable of.
. OnePlus 6 Software :-
It’s based on Android 8.1, and we received an OTA update with the latest May 2018 security patch during our review period.
OxygenOS is nearly identical to stock Android on the surface but has a number of useful additions such as shortcuts, a dark theme, and a scrolling screenshot capture tool. There’s a lot to discover within the Settings app, including controls for giving the on-screen buttons additional functions, night and reading modes, a choice of system fonts, and configurable colours for the notification LED.
. OnePlus 6 additional features :-
There are two Nano-SIM slots, but no microSD card slot for storage expansion. OnePlus officially supports dual standby for VoLTE using two SIMs, which will disappoint some people.
You also get Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and multiple sensors including a gyroscope. The battery capacity is 3300mAh, and while you do get a huge 5V 4A Dash Charger in the box, wireless charging isn’t supported.
. OnePlus 6 Verdict :-
The OnePlus 6 is an easy phone to recommend. It’s not just a flagship killer, it’s a killer flagship.
To match the camera performance of devices like the Huawei P20, it needs to improve at low light photography, but that’s not to say it’s bad. Its performance virtually matches, and in some ways betters, its more expensive competition. We’re still not sure the dual system is necessary though.
When compared to other phones at its own price level, the camera performance on the OnePlus 6 is not exactly groundbreaking, and battery life could of course have been better. Then there’s the Mirror Black option at the Rs. 34,999 price point, which might be seen as a deliberate move to make the higher priced variant seem more tempting.
However, even at Rs. 39,999, this is the only option with a Snapdragon 845 right now. The software is both versatile and up-to-date which are both significant if longevity is important to you. This is also a phone you can show off quite proudly. We think that most people, especially OnePlus fans looking for an upgrade, will be quite satisfied with the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus 6 Advantages And Disadvantages :-
- Good-looking design with sturdy build
- Bright and colourful display
- Dash Charge is a major plus
- Speedy smooth performance
- Much better camera
- No wireless charging
- No official IP rating against water and dust resistance
- Most Android apps not optimised for notched screen yet
One Plus 6 Price :-
OnePlus 6 Price starts at Rs. 34,999. The lowest price of OnePlus 6 is at Amazon, which is of same price as the cost of 6 at Oneplusstore (Rs. 34999). This phone is available in 64 GB, 128 GB, 256GB storage variants.
|Amazon.in||OnePlus 6 (Mirror Black 6GB RAM + 64GB Memory)||34,999|
